About Us

What sparked the idea for Pasture Treats?

With the chronic disease epidemic impacting not only us humans but our dogs, we started becoming more and more conscious about what we were allowing them to eat. We initially focused on what our dogs were eating on a daily basis and tried to make that as natural as possible. If we couldn't pronounce the ingredients on the label or didn't understand why a certain ingredient was added, we simply didn't give it to our dogs.

Eventually, we transitioned our dogs from a traditional, highly processed kibble diet, to a whole foods/raw diet. Even though we figured out what was optimal for our dogs to eat on a daily basis, we neglected one important aspect, the treats we were giving them.

At the beginning of 2024, we were in the market to purchase a cow for our family and we were extremely lucky to have stumbled across one of the largest regenerative farms in Colorado called Flying B Bar Ranch. Not only did we enjoy the highest quality meat available on the market, but our dogs absolutely loved the at home dog treats we started making. Soon after, we began giving away delicious meat treats to our friends and family and received overwhelming feedback.

From stories of our friends dogs sitting by their fridge waiting for their next treat, to tearing apart the bags of treats we had given them, we quickly realized we had an incredible opportunity on our hands. The chance to make a positive impact on the health of all dogs.

What is our commitment?

As we like to say, All Bull, No Sh*t! We're committed to providing the highest quality beef dog treats, free of preservatives, additives, or any ingredient's you cannot pronounce. If we ourselves (yes, we taste test our treats) or our dogs won't eat it, we won't sell it.

Meet our inspirations

Formerly known as "No Time to Waste", Gilda is our happily retired racing Greyhound. With a fast body, but gentle soul, Gilda can typically be found sleeping on the couch, barking at our neighbors llamas, or doing her famous treat (her favorite word) dance in the kitchen. We're extremely thankful for Colorado's own, Friends of Retired Greyhounds (FORG), for connecting us with Gilda and highly recommend contacting FORG is you are interesting in adopting a Greyhound.

Smart, loyal, protective, sweetheart. Aspen is our German Shepard/Blue Heeler mix and comes from an extensive line of police dogs. When Aspen isn't barking at our neighbors llamas with Gilda, she's typically playing fetch (ball is her favorite word) or playing tug of war with her rope.
